Features Kustoms blues? I need to see some kustoms....

I have been exposed to customs since the mid fifties and thought I’d seen it all until I went to the San Diego Automotive Museum today. A ‘58 Impala from Japan with a paint job that was said to cost a quarter million dollars. The paint is thick enough to allow the engraving. This car was six years in the making.

 

I'm amazed of the workmanship, thank you for posting the detail pics.

Thanks for posting the video. It appears that a lot more work was done after the SEMA show. I want to know how they came up with the technique.

I'm not sure I just got back from Starbirds and it was covered up.

 

Pretty sure that's him behind it with the cap on. That and the license plate....

Speaking of bubble tops I know it wouldn't fly around here but I think it would be cool to build the Merc in the bottom right and make it elecrtic so it just slid along silently.
