Much better version before it was sold and repainted. Maybe someone has a better picture. I took this in 82. Scan0601.jpg

Kool ...thanks Mo...I like that purple , blue what ever it is I like it ..but I do prefer the hardtop over the later version..
I used to get these two cars mixed up, thinking they were the same car just different modifications through the years..the Huffman car I thought looked better before the t-tops...just my opinion.
Well I will see what else I can dig up..literally, I had a magazine incident the other night...while doing some reorganizing and transferring about 8 stacks waiste high of loose magazines, mostly Rod Action, Rod&Custom, Street Rodder 78 through mid 80's, tipped over like domino's and shot across the room...crap..so as I'm picking them up I got to flip threw them..finding alot of them with there covers ripped off...Again Thanks 15798243139205400339430035028090.jpeg

My taste has changed over the years but I use to really love this chopped Chevy. I'd add some chrome bumpers and it would still be kool to own it.

BTW, Some here may not know Junior's legacy. Here's a quote, from 1993...
"(Conway)...works at least 12 hours a day, six days a week; in a year he paints no more than five cars.
Conway doesn't advertise, but everyone knows where to find him, including the timber baron from Thailand who spent more than $400,000 in taxes and shipping alone for the privilege of getting his Rolls Juniorized, which cost him another $200,000."
    That's $200,000...for a paint job!
    No one else compares!

Are there only 6 of us regularly reading this thread?
I have noticed the photos I "like" are almost always "liked" by 5 other people. Are we the last six diehard kustom fans on the HAMB??

I look at the thread daily but don't do the like thing.

  22. I look everyday as well and I will comment or like stuff that I find extra special but don't like every post.

  23. I check in often, but I'm kind of stingy with my likes.

  24. I just found this thread lately, but it"s one of the best on the HAMB! So much creativity and talent showcased in these cars. No paint by numbers or 1-800 builds.
I "like" many of the posts for their content, but also to encourage folks to keep on posting!

  26. Wondered bout that also. My thinkin is that the site doesn’t record every “like”, but only the first 5/6.

  28. Jim, you never cease to amaze me with your photos and your memory of this Kustom hobby. Incredible! I’m looking forward to the CCR2020, hope to see you there! —-Lou
