Features Kustoms blues? I need to see some kustoms....

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by straykatkustoms, Oct 6, 2014.

  1. thats my line of thinking. From the b post forward is good stock but the back half just doesnt work in my book, the chop usually helps get the flow it needs.

  2. I really like that roof, never seen that car before. Thanks for posting.

  3. you would sure get some odd looks. Its like when we have taken Taboo to some tri five stuff that's all mostly stock looking cars.

Kevan Sledge pulled it out to get a good look. Only one sail panel is done at this point. He has a lot of time in getting the quarter window the way I wanted it. He killed it. I personally think the quarter window makes or breaks these cars. So many of them have an ugly long dog leg look. Again that's my opinion not knockin other cars.

Kevan Sledge is a master at chopping a '39 / '40 Mercs. I agree, the rear quarter windows are so important. Did you see the article that Rikster posted on his web site about the quarter windows in chopped 49-51 Mercs? Its so true in all kustoms. Your Blessed to owns such a kool ride.

I don't know, but the rear window appears to be the center of a '57 Buick 3-piece unit.

  12. Limelighter will always be one of the best 58 customs out there. I have been mesmerized of that car since I saw it Rod & Custom right after the restoration and chop top as a kid.
