@Mo Kool pics I almost did the single headlight treatment to my 60 Impala. I guess I still could....
Doane Spencer's '55, bought new and customized by Valley Customs in the Fifties.
Check the fender arches and bobbed rear fenders.
If the name is not familiar, Doane's 1932 Roadster was built in the early Forties, and arguably remains to this day as the pinnacle of Hot Rod art.
Yep, 1956 Dodge. https://kustomrama.com/wiki/Grant_Langseth's_1956_Dodge

Spoke to the owner several years ago and was told it was a '56 Dodge.
Who does this '57 belong to, anyone know? I love it!
That is mild kustom perfection.
Ooooh!...I'm snatchin' that Caddy for the "Elegant..." thread!
Wow! Now that's kool!

that 58 just looks perfect. I love how its a Bel Air and not a impala.
Speaking of '58 Chevies, Taboo56Chevy, What became of your Gandpa's buddy, and his look-a-like '58?
That was Walt Nichols's 58 and it was Taboo's original owner Ron's car club buddy.
I have heard two stories of what happened to that car and neither are good. One was the car was stolen, striped of what could be easily removed and the roller was pushed off a cliff in around 62/63.
The other is the car was that the car was parking in a parking lot and a drunk hopped the curb and t-boned the car middle of the door and actually u-shaped the whole car also around 62/63.
I would love to build a clone of that car, had just the right amount of custom work done to it.
Anyone know what these hub caps/wheel covers are off of ? Thanks, BigO
Looks nice, you did good.
If it was a little lower it would be killer in my book...
