Joe Bailon was once quoted to have cited Sonny Morris' "Blue Mirage" as his personal favorite build.

Love the side trim. Anyone know what it's from or custom made?

This one reminds me of David Johnson's cool short, from the Little Pages.
Man, that looks like a tight fit!

    I love this story...
When the "Royal Empress" was being built, Bill Reasoner told Jay D'Agostino that he wanted to cut the fenders down.
D'Agostino replied, "I'll have to think about that!"; to which Reasoner responded, "You go ahead and think about it. I'm going to do it", and proceeded on the spot to do just that!
    The results speak for themselves.

  21. I agree, as a kid the 58 and 55 Chevy's were (and still are) my favorites from the movie.

    I'm with you, Sancho!
The Tom Hocker Ford is an absolute classic, and has been around as a Kustom since the late Forties!

The car is currently undergoing complete restoration to its famous blue configuration.

(You should have heard the trash talking the headlights received, when the restoration was posted on the HAMB.)
