Local GM Holden converted into a convertible using Vauxhall Vagabond parts. These were only produced in 4 door sedans, panel van (Sedan delivery) or utes; no wagons, 2 door pillared or pillarless sedans, convertibles or hardtops. Lots of work to make it look OEM. An interstate restorer friend has a similar car. Being a unibody there was significant under strengthening, utes used a full frame similar to modern subframe connectors

I really dig the mild custom work on that 56 Chevy.

They are kustom cut outs on the top part of a '52 Caddy bumper. Used a 48 Chevy taillights with a red plexiglass covers. Had to end up using LED's so it was bright enough to shine through the plexiglass. Thanks for the kind words.

Ok , I think I have it, you used the part of the bumper between under the tail light and top of bumper, then cut out for your lens ? am I correct ? very cool idea. Do you have and pictures of the build process I can see ?

  20. @37hotrod here are couple pics of your Merc. First two pics are the Mid Century Mercury club show Kenosha, WI, June '83. You can see the MCMC plaque hanging off the rear truly being a drag plaque.

Next pic is also the Mid Century Merc club show, Kenosha but in May of '90

Early Forties Custom. Almost certainly by Frank Kurtis.
