Gary G lived in my home town Lamar, MO. In the mid-70's, he had a 32 Ford roadster. When he bought it, it was orange, with Cragar SS mags. I remember he re-did it as a traditional hot rot with early Ford solid wheels. I didn't understand that as a kid.

I had thought about posting a "where is it now" on the Trad Hot Rod section. Maybe some of you guys that know him might know about the car or could ask him.

NOTHING...absolutely nothing beats shiny paint...and shiny chrome...just my humble opinion...!!! Your Chrysler looks good but it'd be better with shiny paint...!!!

One of the highlights was talking to Larry Purcell. He built this kool '41 chopped Coupe. I hadn't talk to him since the first KKOA Spectacular. What a kool guy..... Borrowed the picture from Rikster..

That red Chrysler three window leaves me speechless! I helped my friend Robert Wright (r.i.p.) chop one of those probably 25 years ago. That is one gorgeous car.

J Hansen and G V Gordon...some time back I did a feature article on Greg Pitman's '47 Chrysler 3 window for a magazine...but I can't find any of my information to back this up: I swear Greg told me the front clip came off a bigger (or maybe a '48) Chrysler, meaning it's longer than the stock one...and here's more information on how the car was put together: "Greg got serious and decided to make a really nice car out of the old ugly three-window. In went an '88 New Yorker sub-frame and the ’73 Chrysler 360” engine. A ’95 Dodge 518 overdrive mated up to that…the stock rear end was replaced with a Chrysler 8 ¼”, with 3:00 highway gears cuz Greg desired to keep it all Chrysler…a ’78 New Yorker gave up its tilt/tele column, a Chrysler 300M gave up its seat and MoPar A/C cools the interior on those long trips." The paint is called "Amulet Red" but I don't know if that's a MoPar color or not...

    Enjoy...
