In today's world I think the pricing on customizing would probably read more like "CUSTOMIZING $5,000 TO $50,000"....... and that might just be the deposit......

If you mean this Merc, then no.
That was Sonny Morris' Merc, the "Blue Mirage".
At one time, Joe Bailon was quoted as calling this his favorite of the customs he had built.
Car went through many changes after that.

If that’s the same Merc I’m thinking of the first time I saw it was 1987 in Montana at the Billings centennial show. Owner was/ is a guy named Sterling Ashby(aka Mr. Merc) thing was painted candy brandywine with candy red inserts. Ten years later I saw a picture of with gold flames, looked terrible with that paint scheme.

Listed as being "in excellent original condition " and "a true survivor". Looks like they left out the, owned by a little old lady who only drove it to church on Sunday, when there was no chance of rain, line.
