Wow I don't remember this Merc in Street Rodder magazine. Copied this from FB post

"I found my magazine with the Merc from “Badlands” starring Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek. It was later in the film, “California Kid” with the 50 nose and 54 Chevy grille seen here. While I have always known the car was chopped by Gary Littlejohn, I have never taken note of the fast that it was later painted by the infamous Michigan pinstriper/painter Paul Hatton, as shown in this magazine feature."

I'm going to have to watch California Kid when I get home.

Finally got the new/old ride set-up as my avatar. I completed this cars interior in 1985, used to belong to my best friend (he's passed). Lots of memories for me and the wife.

 

Looking at the pictures of this art work reminds me of Eldon Titus when he talked about profile. If you don't get it after you look at the pics, maybe you shouldn't be looking at this thread. Lol! Too Kool not to share.
