Mercman@bulldog, Thats a clean looking '51 Merc. NICE. And you have great taste if you let the Moonglow inspire you during your design/build.

As to the Chevy in post #7959, Clean and not chopped, like your Merc. Don't know if it was a BelAir with 210 trim, or an actual slightly rare 210 hardtop, but the long single 210 side trim helps break the slab, and visually lengthens the car. Looks like you did a little change up on your side trim. Did you use a rear piece from the opposite side for your front fender trim? Kool!!

Thankfully Duane Steck and You did not use Hagen headlight frenching kit!

 

Thanks for the kind observation. My goal was to build a very nice driver. Unchopped 50’s style. Front fender trim is less the Mercury Script, and You my friend have been one of the few to pick up on it. Talk about a “good eye”! Lol sign of the times. Youngster’s can’t figure out

Hey @54delray, just a parting thought....can you imagine being about 17 years old and creating the “MOONGLOW” in your driveway with the help of your neighbor (a collision body and fender guy). If that isn’t inspiring! Mom kept saying “ Duane get in the house—- School in the mornin.” Oh Mom, if you only knew what your Son did to inspire a whole bunch of people.
