As I recall, this Chevy had wild front end styling, way more asymmetrical than the offset plate in back.
( Split grille opening? Maybe covered headlights, and on one side only? o_O) Can anyone connect the dots?

I was 11 in 1957. One afternoon my Mom sent me to the "Little Store" to pick up some stuff she needed to finish supper that nite. I hopped on my old bike and headed for the store. Now Earl was one of the really cool Dudes in town, he had this '53 Olds Super 88 2 dr. hard top that was the envy of many in town and there was always a gathering of cool Dudes and cool cars hanging around Earls place, which just happened to be about half way between my house and the store. I could see some activity up ahead at Earls as I got closer to his place. Now you just had to slow down and take a peek at the goings on when you went by there. What's this, there is something Pink in the driveway! Earl had traded his '53 off on a brand new '57 Olds Super 88 2dr. hardtop, a Pink one!! There it sat, bone stock, fresh from the Dealer. Well I wonder what he's gonna do with it?? Knowing Earl it was going to be something Kool. Didn't see the car for a week, found out it was at Don's Body Shop for some minor work, just a Nose and Deck job, nothing major. I just got done cutting the grass and was sitting on the front step enjoying a big glass of my Moms Ice Tea when all of a sudden down the street comes this Pink '57 Olds, WOW, look at that thing, low enough to knock over a pack of Pall Mall's, Nosed, Decked, Letter's taken off of the grill, Tear Drops, Full length Lakers, '56 Olds Fiesta's on the front, WWW and Fox Craft Cruisers. Yep, Earl had done something really kool. Thanks Mick for bringing back some fond memories, Preciatecha!!

I was there when my friend Johns Adonis clone was being shot for custom rodder (thats where this pic is from) we were in Oklahoma and this shoot occurred early in the morning for that sweet spot sunlight shot. Trouble was there was so much dew that we would hurry up and dry the car off, run out of the shot, and there was just enough time to take a pic before the dew showed back up. wipe , shoot , wipe,shoot....
