It's amazing how many of these customs look worse than the stock car they started with.

 

Which ones?

I’m amazed at the number that look better.
Some folks don’t care for customs. I’m not a big gasser fan but I’m glad others are. Enjoy your ride your way. But I see no need complaining on the gasser pages.
I don’t think the goal for some customs are to improve the factory look but to build something the factory didn’t. A point missed by many

You don't see rumble seats that often anymore.

Rear window looks '70s Camaro to me...and the car MAY be either a '49-52 Chevy coop...or a VW Ghia...my guess is as good as yours...!!!

In Ryan’s recent post of his favorite five cars I noticed that everyone who posted their five favorite with photo of an example, 99% of the cars shown were “customized” in some fashion. I include the 30’s and 40’s cars hot rodded in this description, as body, engine, exhaust modifications purely for looks and not speed is “custom” to me.

 

Packard sore thumb taillights! Underutilized and neat, especially in this case.
