I really like the "summer time" graphics with the paint runs. Was that intentional?
Hello, Goldmountain, it's just an effect on my smart phone.
Well, about 5 days we are free to go out.....but it's raining!!!!!...anyway, when the sunshine, I work on the Frégate. I continue to try the futur look for the paint. I have recycled some old molding. I waiting new clip. The delimitation for the new paint.....
A lot of trouble with my Ford clutch pedal....I have only could bolt 3 screws about 4....and it moving.....impossible to drill the last hole because there is a big crossmember under for the unibody car, at the right target....hum, no chance....so, take off the part.....
And think new.....cut, weld.....something like this.....
Test with lost bolts yes, it work.
And I have try to move the car, and fucked, brake stuck.....
boring work isn't it???
But I know, that you want to know....about the look, .....hey Ratatouille, tell us more please,.......well......new front, new rear....new color, paint, and more......just to share the first preview....the work in progress, bye bye the floating grill.....
Oh, what a tease! I love the new rolling stock and can't wait to see a front view of the new (Caddy?) grille!
It is always good to hear from you, keep on posting when you can.
Use what you have to make it work.
Also, remember the mantra: old cars are fun!
Yep, caddy 1960 grill.....but cut everywhere....Fregate is a small car.....but there is some more to come....I'm waiting parts, but post are impact from covid19, and the delay is "wait and see".....today at the end of the day, knock knock on my door...."it's amazon"....just a little parts.....so quickly I just tried if it's a correct parts, and it's ok. Fregate is not original fuse equipped......to dangerous now with the 12v, so let's fuse box
i was looking to replace this parts in this place......
Hard to find something with round pod bolt .....but this one seems to be perfect
the try, after the rain, quickly installed
Nice upgrade on the fuse block.
I can't wait to see how you will integrate the grille, because personally I think it's a part of the car that is not easy to modify. I'm waiting for 53 buick side trim for mine.
Hello Chrisp, 53 Buick molding are beautiful, that Cadillac grill is perfect for me. A lot of work to come, because Lowrange 2020 will be more "a nice good lookin' car" that an old 1980 French custom look....molding, chrome, bumper, and new paint is on the road.
.......and today, I received a nice part....
But that is in my blood..... ;-) the front is not finish........
The grille looks good, on mine I'm thinking about a '53-57 Corvette grille, I also have '53 buick headlight rings (which looks kinda too big on the Fregate) and '56 Olds headlight rings, '55 pontiac rear bumper without overrider, I wanted a Giulietta front bumper but the guy who has it changed his mind and '41 Studebaker taillights from Alchemy.
The sun is back, the umbrella too.....but I'm must change it, it's dead....my companion about 6 years....
Well, lets see this Mercury parts, a more cut.....
moke up....I like that.....
For the next days, I will adjust everything, made things well, like erase Mercury letters, and many details, as clean as possible when you look closely..............today, it's my Birthday, and work on my Fregate is my the best gift
Happy Birthday...crack a beer or a glass of vino, adjust sit back and ponder and repeat...you have a way with this Kustom
Happy Beerthday to you! Enjoy a few, then get back to work on that nice little custom of yours.

Now, let's do the pipe
Bye bye old botched work
Let's install the first lake pipe......
Lake pipe sound
She's alive! I bet your car will be a lot more fun to drive with the newer drivetrain.
Bye bye old dash......
In place, next, wiring....
....more to come......
Old dash will make nice wall art. But the new dash looks like it belongs in lowrange
