Well, to summarize the last 6 months, I have swap that:
Before testing if the car have 5 forward speeds, I have to do the exhaust line.
Great stuff. Keep it up.
well done, Rat, i'm pressing all my thumbs for your first test ride!
No more red paint ?
Good stuff... And the red paint will make it go just a little faster!
Yes, no more red paint.......I'll paint it later, but for this time it's like this (fake chrome)........
I hope the advertisement says true
Exhaust line in place, I have to work the sound (some leaks).....
I put the first gear, and went down ramps. the car is on these four wheels.
Now, I need to find 2 or 4 whitewall tires like 5.00/5.25-16. Check carb, it leak, change all lamps, fuse box, think about new dash with cool gauges, close the floor, new carpet, change the steering wheel, adapt a rear bumper, new paint, body molding trim....and more .....well.......can anyone tell me when is it over?
You are doing an awesome job. We all know that you will come up with good ideas for your next steps. What kind of harness are you going towards? How many circuits, and 12 volt I'm guessing?

I don't know yet about electricity, of course I need speedometer, oil pressure, water temp, fuel, amp gauges....maybe autometer, or intellitronix, why not? maybe something like universal gauge dash with senders (Dakota digital, but it's too expensive for me...). Actually, I just turn the key, and push button to start engine, that it.
And yes, the battery is 12V now, all 6V stuff will end up on a shelf
Be patient, I'll try to do something good
It's never over. The fun keeps coming!
If your wire is in good shape, you can do a 12 volt conversion fairly easily- just look up all the articles about it here on the HAMB- and Digital guages will look like merd, stick to those nice old mechanical ones! You could use the old 6 volt starter on 12 volts too, it will spin faster. It is usual practice with flatheads, stovebolts, ect. You have nothing to lose- except a 6v starter!
well i am tipping my hat to you sir !!
i like the scallops in pinstriped version.
You right 36roadster, I agree about old mechanical gauges, but no more 6V in my car, after my engine swap (2.0L Ford, you know it, no?), I have to adapt all the electrical system. My starter is now in 12V, alternator and electronic ignition, and more.....but the biggest problem is that your free beer link doesn't work
Not 'till the fat lady sings. Do you have fat ladies in France? Maybe not, if not this is going to be a long process.
A 78H06 voltage regulator and heatsink could supply your dash gauges with 6V if you want to keep them.

No free beer link?
Right now, that's exactly what I'm doing.....for the fuel and water gauges.
French Oprah are in orbit....I made a kustom from outer space, you receive my message with 20 years of delay. The Fregate Starship travel the universe at warp factor 9
Global warming is a very concerning issue.
