  1. Awesome build. I love oddball cars, you're doing a fantastic job.

  2. Everyone else has said what I have been thinking....awesome build, fantastic, a silk purse from a sow's ear is what comes to mind. What a sweet change from a plain, four door sedan to a very remarkable little ride!! As they say here in America, "You da MAN"!!

I've seen people build cars under a shade tree before, but never under a beach umbrella!
Can only imagine what you would be able to accomplish with some quality tools and a real roof over your head. Bravo to you. What a way to introduce yourself.

This is probably the best thread I have read in a long time. You have built a really cool little car with nothing but basic tools and an awesome attitude. Well done man!

Built in the true spirit of customs. Making the best of the worst of conditions and resources. Having a vision to do some thing unique. This build should inspire many.

My first car was a Renault, so I have a soft spot for the marque. They are rarely seen in the USA today.

  22. Wow! What a great looking car! I'm impressed with all your hard work and skills with minimal tools. I can't do that good with more tools. :)

  23. Very nice job.
How did you make those Moon discs fit those odd size wheels?

Hey Ratatouille, You have done a great job on your car, considering you do not have all the tools needed for the job. Like the old saying goes " All good things take time". Keep up the good work, the car will definitely turn heads, good luck with it.

About the moon disc, 47Plym, i fix them not on the wheel, but on the original ring chrome wheel. They cover all the wheel.

I work on the side windows......pictures asap.

Some of the most graceful cars I've ever seen were the French coachbuilt cars from Pre-war.
But even when the French copy something it winds up more artistic than the original.

This Renault is very impressive from several perspectives.

It's also going to be what I commonly call "A Total Pussy Wagon"; so enjoy it Rat! ;)
