    1961 Chevrolet corvair lakewood 700 wagon

    power train:
    -upgraded to a 110 HP 6 cylinder corvair motor. fully rebuilt
    -duel Rochester single barrel carburetors
    -4 speed Saginaw manual transmission, fully rebuilt including gearbox
    -true dual exhaust with resonated chrome tips
    -stock reared, fully rebuilt with 327 gearing & new U-joint.
    -corvair alternator conversion, w/dual 12-volt Optima red tops

    suspension:
    -full air suspension F&R.
    -2200 Bagas front bags
    -2500 Domintaor rear bags
    -custom perch mounts
    -custom control arms
    -3/8” line
    -3/8” airlift valves
    -dual 400cc viar compressors
    -AVS switch panel
    -fully rebuild factory components including bushings and all joints
    -specialty suspension 3, 4, & 5 gallon seamless air tanks powder coated and custom painted
    -custom made polished aluminum hard lines
    -oil-filled pressure gauge

    wheels:
    -front disc brake conversion from Clarks
    -13x7 inch wire wheels
    -Dayton white wall tires

    interior:
    -full custom teal vinyl interior done by Chava & Son
    -crushed black velvet headliner
    -custom billet aluminum door handles & window cranks
    -hideaway bluetooth/CD in glovebox
    -in dash 6x9” speakers
    -instrument cluster from a turbo Corvair dash
    -pinstriped & repainted dash
    -pearl painted steering wheel
    -fur lined hood bay

    exterior:
    -full shave (all trim: handles, rear plate light, antenna)
    -wiper delete with bullet caps by Gambino Kustoms
    -pull kustom flaked & paneled roof paint by Vintage Lines
    -full body work & respray in civilian white
    -pinstriped hood and trunk lid
    -half moon headlight covers
    -new door rubbers & window felt
    -rechromed rear bumper

    Great looking car. Even has the overly accentuated DAK DAK (VW) negative camber on the wheels.:);)

    At first glance in the first pic I thought it had a green tinted glass roof, That would have been cool.
    Not sure how long this will stay up since it is pretty much a classified ad, good luck!
     
  7. These little Lakewood wagons have been on my wishlist, since I saw one, 35yrs ago. Luv, luv, luv it!!:cool:
    All the details are killer and the paint scheme is over the top. White seems perfect base for the rest of the artistry.

    ^ clearly an idiot...this thing has no "bro" about it, whatsoever...it's pure kustom.

    my buddy says thanks for the words...
    he likes the green glass roof idea, as do I. we'll put that one on the bucket-list of mods to-do.

    Very nice corvair, a lot of blood sweat and tears have gone into it and it shows by the quality job.

    Paint and striping are very tasteful. A beautiful effort that might make a few people into Corvair converts.

    Glad I am not the one that has to keep buing tires for it..... bet they don't last very long.
