Did you clean the surface? Sand it?...
Prep it like you would normally prep for any paint job. Sand and clean it. If it has any grease, oil, dirt, hand grease, it's going to run.
I even used glass cleaner to clean the top of my car. Probably not the best idea, but it worked. Seemed to stick really good.
yeah i sanded with 320 i believe and cleaned it well before paint. just didnt shoot a base
Ahh, well what is it that you're spraying?
Is it the body of the guitar? Neck? Pickguard?
just an overdrive pedal for a guitar. i mean even under the lightest spray, like barely even laying at all on the surface, anything that hits just runs. idk if its a bad can or wtf. i have a few other cans. ill give em a test with a base and see what i get. ive never ever seen shit run this fast lol
If it's the can, try taking the cap off and jamming it back on. I had to do that 4 or 5 times through my last 12 cans.
will do. ill post back on here after i give it a go
shot my roof with duplicolor metal specks.
Do they make this paint in like a Ruby Red?
There's a "Cherry Red".
There's all the colors.
HEHEH I have an old Schwinn Beach Cruiser that is going to get that treatment. Original is for pussies.
I think when I get my test can, I will be using it on my air cleaner first, then move on to the wheels depending on how I like it.
Yea and 15 will get ya 20 lol
Exactly what I thought when I saw that...
As Bob Falfa said, "Hey doll, why don't you come on and take a ride with me... in about 10 years."
hahahhaha. true but i just cant pass on the russian girl car wash.
does anyone have pics of this done with a rattlecan clear??
I will soon.
I got a can of this and it sprayed good for about 2 minutes and then it wouldn't spray anymore and the paint was just oozing out of the can, but I returned it and the part i got done looks so good I thought it was worth another try.
Also I sprayed the silver flake over a purple base and the purple shows through enough to give it a nice look.
Anyone use the red version of this paint?
... On second thought, not a great idea to paint the top of a car. It might be the particular color, but I can't it to lay down even enough to make me happy. So I'm gonna get some real paint and just do it the right way! This stuff is great small stuff though.
I finally got the chance to try this stuff out this weekend. I used a cherry red base and then shot over it. I need to get a better clear on it still. I grabbed the wrong can of clear when I was over at the garage a few weeks back. Worked pretty damn good. My first can clogged up pretty good after one wheel. Then I used can 2 on two wheels. Base coat makes a huge difference with this stuff. Anyone have a rattle-bomb clear that they would suggest?
DUPLICOLOR METALSPECKS ON THE LEFT - GLITTER BLAST ON THE RIGHT
They both turned our good from the pics. I like the way the flake came out tho. I'd like to do a green color on the wheels for my 52 and lose the red I have right now.
Thanks. I still need to clear over the wheels that are "flaked." I only had enough to finish off 3 wheels. I didnt do the centers since they will be covered by the "poverty" caps. The color is only temporary until I get the car painted. I still need to figure out what color I want to go with. I know it will be a two-tone jobber. I dont mind the sanding and repainting n such.
I bought a can of the citrus dream to mess around with as well.
Glitter blast seems to "pop" out a bit more
any one do a car roof post pics, very curious how it would look...
like a done roof.
