Event Coverage KKOA - Hotel Thoughts??

Thinking about headed out to Salina for KKOA. I see where they list a boat load of hotels on their web-site (which is awesome) but just curious if there are any recommendations from those who have been there/done that.
Thanks in advance and realize the late timing might be a factor as well.

 

I've had good experiences with the super 8. Just heard a report of bedbugs at the ambassador.

 

I stay towards the south end. More expensive but less surprises.

 

I stayed at the south side Super 8 last year, I believe its on Shilling Rd or something along those lines. It was nice, reasonably priced, and close to a number of resturants.
