Anyone going/showing/running at the Kingdon Reunion in Lodi, CA Sept 11th and 12th? I'm hoping to see Doug and Lori Peterson's dragster with the Potvin make some passes, as well as Roger's dragster at least cackle if not make a short squirt or burnout. Anyone else? Dean
We will be in the Cacklefest with the Burkholder Brothers AA/FA along with about ten others last I heard. Kingdon was the first track we ran on in March of 1959.... been a long time Hairy Burkholder

Hi Dean...I'd love to make it, but unfortunately, I've got too many automotive events happening that same weekend. When we first took the boat out and moved here from Iowa in 1977, we settled in Stockton, and I went to 2 or 3 drag races at Kingdon before we moved to Ukiah in 1978. I guess the strip closed down after 1977. I've been hoping to make it to one of the nostalgia drags there. Can't do this one, but I'm planning to go to the Eagle Field drags and the Bakersfield Hot Rod Reunion next month. Any of you guys over Sacramento way planning to go on the Relaibility Run here this coming Sunday? Craig
should be a pretty good couple of days at the old airport drag strip with grudge races, car show and more. In Lodi, CA just off I-5 freeway between Eight Mile Rd and HWY 12 exits.
before drags early Sunday morning will be going to Sacramento for Swap Meet at Consumnes River College just off HWY 99 at Calvine exit.
