Here are kids in hot rods ,I love it when they jump right in and get dirty
my lil one playin in 26 coupes old model T before he sold it
All you guys consider yourselves fortunate to have the kids enjoy what your car projects are, because they grow up way to fast!!! My son was always helping me in the garage when I was building my 32 back in 1962, I taught him how to use hand tools, & wrenches starting at 10 yrs. of age, then later, how to use the torch both cutting & gas welding, along with the grinder, sanding & painting, We did a Father/Son '29 hiboy roadster together about 1979, & he redid it 4 years later with tilt front end all by himself!!----Once you teach the kids, they will not forget!!!---Also makes Dad very proud!!!----My son is now 50, & has now taught his son the basics of tools!!------See pix
Here's two of my nephew and me. If I get a chance I'll scan some photos from the early 80s of myself and my brother that my dad took with us in various cars and race cars that he owned.
Let's try this once more . . . .
Awesome story. I'm on the same plan!
Greats stories and pictures. Here is the last one I have of my kid working on my 32 before the buddies and girls "kicked in". I think I remember similar times in my life....

Here's a picture of Lee and Reilee together...........GOOD Times
The first picture was taken in Owen Sound, Ontario in '83 before the '37 was painted. Lots of WNY rodders were camping at the annual rod run. This is a picture of my daughter (right) and her friend.
The second picture is of my son & daughter sitting in our '32 2 door sedan in 1972. Had to sell the car to buy our first house.
Ist one is my car crazy boy in a project car we sold a few years back. 2nd is my daughter posing next to another project car that we sold and one of most of my kids in it. Then one of my oldest son hanging out on the family Hot Rod (Keeper) ........ then is my youngest boy checking out a grille shell I brought home. The last one of my 2 oldest boys on their first day of school, I thought I would take them in the HotRod. They loved it.
More of Luke....
