Most I've talked to say they didn't bother hooking up the kickdown cable on a TH350 after adapting to their 235. I'm looking for someone who has with a 1bbl carb...more so, how they did it. Heard there was a decent bracket setup available, but so far, have found nothing.

Am thinking about possibly mounting off the throttle bellcrank on the block below intake/exhaust--anyone ever do that?

  3. yah.... kinda but with a TV for my 700r4. mounted to the adapter plate and the end off the bell crank. I have pics, but the area is tight and the pics are hard to see what and where

I have a 350 with a 700r4. I got my TV kit from Bowtie Overdrives. I don't know if they have a kit for your TH350 + carb set up. Maybe poke around their website or give them a call. If they don't have it, maybe they can tell you who might.

Doesn't make a difference--you still have only one throttle bellcrank regardless of how many carbs. Between the bellhousing and threaded bosses on the block, rigging up the kickdown should be a breeze...just need to get my motor back and make that breeze happen.

My 700R4 has the cable running inside the car to the throttle pedal. Looks neat, straight. You gotta get your math right with the ratios and all. And it's still got provision for adjustments.

Adjustable detent cables are cheap! I simply welded a extention to the bottom of the throttle rocker and set the length were it pulled at 3/4 throttle. Nothing fancy but worked fine. That was a '72 Chevy 250 with a turbo 350 behind it..Hope that helps...I think I spent a whole 10 minutes throwing it together..
