I FOUND THESE IN THE BACK OF A DELAPADATED BARN UNDER A OIL SOAKED CANVIS,the bolt pattern is 5 on 5 1/2, my question is how do I tell if there ford or chevrolet or ? the hub cap aera is bigger than a ford...
pics or a more accurate description would help here.. 5 1/2 pattern was common on dodge/plymouth .. are they wires, or solids? did the canvas smell good? is the barn fixable?
cant you tell if the spokes are in the inner rim or not? i have a set of non bent spoke 16' wires and the inner rim does not need rim linners since the spokes are not visable inside the rim. i was told this means its not a factory wheel but for ford none the less?
If the Ford hub cap is too small, they could be Packard wheels. Still 5 1/2" bolt pattern but they use a larger cap. I don't know the diameters. I'm not even sure what year and model Packard. The cap that fits had a red hexagon recess in the center.
Iv got one of those wheels, it's a 17" wire although i believe it's an early 30's studebaker wheel. Remember it's a 5x5.5 bolt pattern. There was a thread earlier that we determined what this exact wheel was. I can't remember for sure but correct me if I'm wrong.
these wheels are 16" X 4" - 5" ON 5 1/2" the cap opening is 7" other pictures can be made available...
