Keep looking guys, they're still out there

  1. Long story short: I had a dream about this car. A friend found it, and with meager directions, I drove right to it. I knew exactly where it was, because of my dream. 70 miles from my house, no bullshit. God bless Old Wyoming. Ha Ha.

Still pinching myself, thinking I'm dreaming. I've been looking for this car for a long time. I never thought I'd find one I could afford, let alone this close to me. Unreal.

I hear you traded two coon skin caps and a bottle of jack daniels for it, and the old man threw in the 77 comet too? Is that right?

    Looks real solid burns!

  4. By the way, that fuel tank may be a bit too large...better re-think that one.

  6. ....and a tube of Astroglide, but the Comet's a '74, Ha Ha. The old man said he bought the Comet to use the small block and the front suspension on the coupe, thank god he never made it that far.

  7. Yes, it's currently on craigslist, it's vintage. I would trade it for some hydraulic brakes for this pile.

  8. You know that is pretty funny. I had that same dream but it was Plymouth.

that is amazing. I've been looking around where I live, but all the old fields where these things are hiding are being turned into housing before I find them.

  26. No, that would be a nightmare. Ha ha. Just kidding. If anybody has any leads on a grille, radiator, and some fender aprons, I would appreciate any help. They don't have to be real nice, I'm just gonna drop a flathead, '39 trans, and some hyd. brakes on this bitch and drive it. Oh, a windshield frame would be cool too. I'm broke, and I had to sell my soul to the devil to get this car, but I have alot of crap to trade.

  27. That's what is crazy, I knew this car was there somehow. I drive by the area all the time, and from time to time I would take a detour to look around. I never seen it myself, but where it was sitting, I must have drove by it a thousand times. I was telling my friend about my premonitions and a few weeks later he was on his way through the area, and texts me a picture of this car. I immediately drove down there and right to the car, I knew exactly where it was, and all I had was a cellphone picture. It was crazy. The old man told me it wasn't for sale, and he had it since 1951, I turn and walk away(heartbroken) and he stops me before I hit the end of his sidewalk. He says, not unless you have a big pocket full of cash. I'll bet he had turned folks away for years, but for some reason, decided to sell the car to me. I went down the next morning, with a big pocket full of cash (wink, wink) and brought it home. I have been looking for a 33-34 five window forever, because my grandpa had one in the early fifties.

    Wow, nice find.
If Tuck had it, he'd have it running tonight and on the road tomorrow evening...

I sure hope you didn't pay too much for that. There's a dent in the roof but you probably didn't see that. And do you call that paint?
