A vintage car of U.S. carmaker Chevrolet is parked at the Autofriedhof Franz Messerli auto graveyard in the village of Kaufdorf south of Bern July 27, 2008. The auto graveyard, which contains several hundreds of vintage cars, should be shut down by magisterial by-law end of March 2009:eek::mad::(<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UunbdjaUeb8&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UunbdjaUeb8&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object><p>You may want to turn the volume down, terrible soundtrack.

Yes, thank you pro1street, trying to add the pic, and talk to a customer at the same time! Had to share this.

I was rambling through the Flicker website, searching for pics from a bar in Atlanta called Graveyard....and this USA Today pic. caught my eye. Maybe search that site more now for other sad stories like this closer to home! Someone over there hopefully will see this before the damn law gets it all.

Judging from how deep some of those are buried i'd say they have been there for a loooong time!
Some very artsy photo's too, very cool..

being a closet Porsche fan, seeing those two 356 coupe's like that is unreal. although there's probably MANY out there like that, you don't often you see them in thier final resting place.

    Thanks for posting.

I recogize that car yard. (not physically) but online.

    http://jalopnik.com/photogallery/swedeyard/

The old Jags, Mercedes, Porsche, etc. Its a shame those cars in such a disasterous state of decay. I am a member of a vintage Mercedes club and one of our members plans a trip to the yard to scope out the post-war 170V in the pics, and the 180 Ponton sitting atop the car behind the beetle.

The photographer of these photos did an outstanding job.
