One day while driving around looking for an oil rig, I spotted a similiar field in far south Texas. Just driving down the road and "boom" there they were. I just about broke my neck looking. Newest car in the mid fifties and in good shape. I need to find that yard again. I'll bet some of the guys in the valley know about this one but, getting anyone to talk is difficult to say the least. Nice find and I hope some HAMBers pick em up and see them thru to project completed status. That's better than finding buried treasure.
cool man. i live way out in the country up in fannin county texas and there are tons of cool spots alot like this, scattered all around. i like that picture with the tree growing up through the car.
You ever stop in and ask that guy off of 290 going to Houston if any of that abone stuff is for sale? Do you know the place?
The 58 Nomad is not a 2door hardtop wagon like the early ones so maybe it IS a Nomad. Love the Studebaker planter.
There's a fella in a little town called Bynum southeast of Hillsboro TX that builds customs and rods. He has a field full of cars. Haven't met him but have driven by many times and been met on the road by chopped top 50s cars and others.
