I like that hood a lot. Makes me want to buy a Pontiac just so I could trade hoods with you.

    Hello,

A 33-34 three window Ford Coupe is one of the classic car designs to roll off the factory assembly line. After years of straight up grille designs, this swoop back grille just hit the spot. The coupes, (3 window/5 window,) sedans, sedan deliveries, wagons, all had that new design. It was a good change of pace for the early Ford drivers.

When I was reading about “the look” in hot rods, the two main things stood out, the stance and style. This 3 window had the correct stance, big/littles, nerf bars, red rims and smoothie hubcaps. But, the additional items just added more to “the look.” The nicely done chopped top and the series of louvers on the hood/trunk added to this Ford’s California Rake style .

This chopped three window was one of my favorites at the Lions Dragstrip Museum Grand Opening Event last year. It took me back to my first ride in a black 5 window 34 Ford Coupe with a big Olds motor in it. The black 34 coupe was my brother’s friend and fellow hot rodder/drag racer from our old Westside Long Beach neighborhood. In the early days, it was a trophy winner at Lions in the A/Gas class. It was fast… and mean looking.

This red one matches that black 5 window equally...

Fantastic shot @13below0...;)...looks reptilian...cool Hotrods one looks to be a 34 and the closer one has me stumped...

@2many projects man that is hammered...so its only fitting to punch it with louvers...looks fantastic...that is a fairly new ride for you isn't it? Summers here time to get out...;)
