I was looking for more of a project, but got a good deal on this roadster.
I had a blast driving it around this morning, even though it still has the stock 4 banger.

  2. Totally cool little scoot!

I don't know that I could bring myself to change much on that bad boy, it is almost perfect as it sits! :)

What are your plans for it? I'm assuming a v8?

Yep a V8 is in order, maybe a flathead? I am really digging Chris Casny"s 265. I will bring it down some, keeping it on the A frame. I am not sure about the door stickers.

  4. Speed parts for the banger,f-150 3spd w/od.Keep the stickers,look like
    they belong.

That's a cool roadster! I personally would leave the banger in it, makes it different and neat. Maybe a flathead, if you had to change it, but anything newer wouldn't fit the style.. IMO. Only thing I would change would be to put some older style headlights on it.. BLC or Guides or something.

Cool roadster. I've got a 1957 283 in my A pickup but, like was already stated above, I'd keep the banger in it. I think it fits the rest of the car. Congrats.

Thanks fellas, I have been wanting a roadster for a long time! I'm glad you guy's approve of my taste. I am definitely gonna change out a few things to keep the look...like the headlights.

Congrats, I just got the roadster in my avatar and it still has the banger too. Hope I don't insult any of the banger guys on here but I really prefer the sound of a flattie, the banger just sounds wrong to me.

Right! A High Compression head and the fully synchronised F150 3 speed with overdrive gives you a very traditional hotrod that is a blast to drive and bragging rights because you will outrun flathead V8s.

    Well done! Congratulations!

  23. The banger is part of what makes your car "cool". I would say leave it in, or at least drive it for a while to be sure you really want to change.

I agree, I kinda have to keep it this way...at least until my bank account recovers :D. I would like to make it as reliable as possible, I plan to drive it alot. Now I need to work on those downshifts

Get rid of the muffler(straight open exhaust), headlights, and front plate, grab handles and drive the hell out of it. Keep the Banger, A sticker, and the stance. Love the look of the rod.

    I love that thing!

Personally I wouldn't change anything about it - too cool as is. This is exactly what I've been thinking for my next project!
