    Stumbled on this. Wonder if there's more footage of the race out there. Bobby Ball Memorial, Fairgrounds 1962 in color. Amazingly 22 spectators injured, no one killed.

    Some old buildings have been razed recently, the Blakely station from posts #1 and 41, now a parking lot for the new hipster spots surrounding it. Another being the Moe Allen body shop at Osborn and 16 St. Wondered if they saved the sign and a buddy of mine said he saw it scrapped and hauled away. As Waylon would put it... "Wrong!"
