June 2015 Issue of Car Culture Deluxe - 49 Chevy Fleetline

Any help appreciated...

On Pg 11 from coverage of the 13th Annual Ventura Nats

There's a beautiful green 49' (or so) Chevy Fleetline featured

I'm trying to identify exactly what car the rear quarter beltline stainless trim is off of?

I believe I've thunk up another way to use that trim section on my ride...

 

without seein it I'd guess Pontiac "sharkfin" beltline trim...

 

Any idea what year / model Pontiac?

 

'49 to '54 all have a similar piece though there may be subtle differences. The fastbacks appear to have a longer rear section than other body styles. BUT, like rusty1 said, just guessing without seeing what you are talking about.

 

Thx for posting the Pic Sancho! That's the trim I'm talking about. I thought the feature Pic in Deluxe was a Fleetline; the back trunk trim was shaved, and there was no Pic of the grill... I'll see see if I can run a couple cherry peices down for my purpose!

 

P.S. thats a pretty Ponti too, luv that windshield visor!
