That's a great set up DaddyO. Do you bend the pedal arm to line up with the brake bellcrank? What master cylinder is that?

I have a standing search for 1920s auto parts on eBay, and this showed up in my inbox today. He thinks it's a Ford, but I say no way. I'm thinking Dodge Brothers with that chassis, the sliding gear transmission, and the flathead four.

Thoughts? It's too far away from me, but it could make a cool speedster.

  4. Well, I, at the invitation of Bobby Green and Les, took a self guided tour of the Old Crow Speedshop last week. A very impressive collection of early hot rods and hot rod memorabilia from the early days. Just let your imagination run wild! All sorts of eye candy. Like a trip back in time!

The engine does have that Dodge Bros. look to it.

  6. One of my high school buddies family had a 20's Dodge truck with the "Silent Start" unit. They were commonly salvaged and used in early small electric farm trucks . You could buy a kit from an add in Popular Mechanics to convert them to an arc welder. Plus early wind generators did a lot of them in. Geez, I'm getting old
