    Hiya all.

Still freezing our butts off down under.

Picked up some more "to do" parts for the coupe.

I'm going to be busy when that "one day" arrives

I got these cams a while back in a lot of parts I bought. Does anyone know what they fit?

Mains are smaller than an A. Cam is longer than a A. They have a woodruff key for the gear. One is tapped on the end for a bolt and the other is not. No marks on them except for a 123 on one and a stamped B on the other.

Here’s a few pics, the last is an A cam next to one of the others.

  17. GREAT VIDEO, RETSON! There should be another Santa Margarita even next year. If my brain can keep up with my tough; I' probably still be at the microphone!

  18. Anyone here running a Holley Red pump? If so.... where did you stick it, under the frame or closer to the engine?

I need to pick up an electric pump and would like a period-correct one, but given the prices of the Autopulses I might go this route temporarily.

  19. Thank you John, you did a terrific job behind the mic! I'll be heading to this next meeting on the 10th!

  20. I'm currently diving more into the history behind George Riley and the stuff that he invented. I'm familiar with the two port and four port variations, and the multi lift stuff for the Model T.

The one thing I cant find any info on is the Geo. Riley Co. Model B side cover. Was there any history on it, or was it just something to sell?

Also, were there actual Riley manifolds produced or just repop stuff?

    Thank you!

Yes, and stuck it under the floorboard on the frame.....but it is a late'31 so the gas shut off is under the hood.
From the gas shut off, down to the pump and back up again with refrigeration tubing. Feeds two '81's with no hick ups plus a buddy runs one that has worked well for him.
@J.Ukrop ran one (I believe in his version.1) with the shutoff in the cabin. A real sanitary installation

Reston, I have an ad where Riley mentions an intake manifold as part of a “kit” along with a flathead. No pics or other information.

I believe Rileys focus was on the Model A, but his heads also fit Model B engines. Look at the @RyanAK post and see the oil return tube on the A engine. 'Capping the well' was also Geo. Riley guidance for pressurizing a B engine and modifying the oil pump for more pressure and capacity. Charlie Yapp made an aluminum Riley fantasy B side cover and maybe this is what you are thinking of.....but it is conceivable Riley did and I am not aware of it.
However, he made a Riley embossed, cast iron, 1 1/4" intake for the flathead...and it was catalogued for $7.50
There was a reprint of a 1931 George Riley booklet "Building The 100 M.P.H. Model 'A' Ford" by Dan Indola in 1991
I don't know if it is still available...I currently have a copy that a buddy loaned me...

@winduptoy isn't that booklet included in the Riley book that he did? I'd have to go check my copy to be sure.

  25. Years ago I picked up a copy of the "Riley Racing Scrapbook" by Mr. Iandola. As of right now, it may be part of my retirement fund as copies seem to be priced into the stratosphere!

We got some goodies for the speedster today, including floorboards and something a bit more fun. :)

    Submitted Respectfully,

    jason

Nothing more for sale as I’m putting the 29 CCPU back together. I put the T-5 in my A in 2002 using the Auto Restoration kit. Undoing the stuff in the AR kit has been a real challenge. I need to get some stuff at the Chevy to install the output snout and then I’ll be ready to put the new engine in.

Does anyone run an oil filter on an A or B? This has been in the loft over my garage for 45 years and I'll never use it. It is in the HAMB Classifieds. Bob
