What's the story behind it? You will see it ~3:20 min in.
what the heck are those things on the back?
And nice bust of the joker in front of the grill.
Atomic batteries to power....turbines to speed.....
Cesar Romero was great....Kooky car for sure!!
See, rat rods were in the sixties too.
Looking at the fenders and the body. Reminds me of the Munster Koach. Wonder if Barris build it.
Man, I thought my car was the only one with a "Portable Robot Retriever". Crap. What a jip.
Wasn't that used in an episode of the Monkees as well?
Defiantly Barris Built!!
Tinkling Trolley Bells Bat Man...the Joker will never catch us in that p.o.s...
coming soon: rodtees.com
looks like 1/2 a surf board ,,used as a seat back rest ?
kind looks like the Dukes of Hazzard meets Batman there for a bit,,lol
it's the ZZR used in a couple of movies........... the name was OUTA SIGHT...funny spoof movie ,in the beach blanket form..and oh yeah its a barris design.........show rods rule!!.
It's a Bat Rod...not a Rat Rod...I take offense to that...Bruce Wayne
Wasn't this car used in Elvis's "Clambake" movie, the one with Schneider off of "One Day at A Time"?
Car is ugly, but the Joker's hottie looks pretty nice!
God thats ugly.
I concur, the Joker keeps good company!
That thing is in the basement of the Peterson museum.
It is far underground in a concrete vault.
Yes, it is safe.
It's not ugly...it's a JOKE HOT ROD...driven by the Joker....get it?
Well it's about bat time you did
That show rules! Man is that one twisty road to the Bat Cave and, amazingly, such little tire squeal outa those Bi-plys the Batmobile sports too.
Regarding the 'Hot rod,' wasn't that thing used on some aweful Sid and Marty Krofft Saturday morning abomination? The Banana Splits, maybe???
If I'm right, that's the one at the Peterson.
Also dig the early Chevy tripple duce air cleaner under the dummy Air intakes. HA! HA!
I'm starting to understand why he cranked out such crappy lookin Cars.
They had to match the Acting.
Dont see the attraction of it..
Yeah, nice She must be easy if she hangs around with a bad dresser like the Joker.
Yes those do look like surf boards, kinda the reason why I asked what was the story behind it as it probably looked pretty good before they hacked on it for the Joker's use. It's not the ZZR as it's a touring 4 door.
I think the car was modified a couple of times....I might be wrong and yes it was in CLAMBAKE...where is RICHARD D our other movie guru??
" Right turn" He made a left I like the air cleaner.........
That show show bad T.V. was I watched all those episodes when I was a kid. No video games lol...
Isn't that a Cadillac or Chevrolet "bat wing" air cleaner under the scoops? A high dollar piece today.
did anyone notice the air cleaner on the joker rod, isn't that a batwing airclear from 56 chevy car with 2x4s? maybe cads had them also, not sure. did like that 59 wagon they passed in town tho
WOW, I used to watch that show when I was a kid. I'd forgotten how bad it was!
Bad,I thought they were excellent! In fact I find the new film versions don;t have the same tongue in cheek humour.Holy pschadelic spray job Batman
