Absolutely beautiful work! Love the shell and everything about the rest of it. Very, very nice work and concept.

(Could you humor me and find a bit better way to display that flag than behind the metal racks. No offense or disrespect intended!)

    Rooman,
Next time you do a grille shell like that, MAKE A MOLD! I know at least one guy who'd settle for a glass version and a nice insert!!! The car is so nice looking with it. Gary

Joe is too busy finishing Dave's 5 window so I will answer for him. It is the front half of a 22 Buick tub, pretty much as Buick built it apart from some detail work where the rear doors were hung on the original.

Rooman, congrats on how nice your grill shell turned out! You continue to show us talents beyond being a great dragster chassis man.

Enjoyed visiting during open house for Indy Goodguys, Bob

Loving this little mod! I hadn't heard of Jo before the Chemical City coupe, then this modified, and spending a few hours on his FaceBook page..

I feel like a moron for not knowing of him until recently. Amazing craftsmanship.

Mainly because I was making it up as I went. I used a cast brass Miller type shell as a buck and it did not have any provision for a hood flange. When we decided that we needed one I added it rather than end up with a shorter shell. If I do another I would make the shell longer and form the flange area although moving .080" 5052 aluminum is not that easy.

Hi - Can you share the width of the back of the grill shell? It appears narrow and I'm wondering how you fit an adquately sized radiator into it. But I'm thinking the size is somewhat of an optical illusion because while the car appears Model T-ish, it's actually a Buick.

    thanks,
