What year was it that the two Coupes drive cross country to Timonium Maryland? Bob
Don't know if Jake had ever read this thread or if he is on the HAMB. If you are do you know who chopped the top on Stan VanAmburg's 26 coupe? I never thought to ask him when he was alive and was just wonderin…..
Jake doesn't have a computer or a TV !
That last photo of him looks DRAMA free...…………..
I will tell you what kind of guy Jake is. A friend of mine from South Carolina took a photo of the coupe at the Auto Fair in Charlotte N.C. several years ago. My friend had planed to go to LARS, took an enlarged copy of the photo with him and ran into Jake, ask him if he knew the car. Jake said he did and wondered where it was at. Jake told my friend that VanAmburg was their mechanic go to guy. Jake said the top chop was so severe they thought no one would want the car. I bought it in '96 and still got it. Jake signed the photo for me and it hangs in my garage. He also sent me his phone #. I called him and we had a gud talk. He is a gud guy...……...
My Model A because of Jake and his Model A Panel Delivery.
How many cars(hotrods) has "Jake" built and sold? Anyone know?...…….
Jake must be a single guy.
Just think of all the $$ he saves and the drama he misses out on!! He is a very blessed man...……...
Thank you, Brilliant read.
Does Jake still have the sedan?
Man, I'd loved to get ahold of it.
Yes does I just saw Jake yesterday and talked to him about it. That sedan was my dad's daily driver to work for 30 years.

That's exactly what I'd do with it!

It’s July 1995 right after Re-Pete & Jake’s (PC3g) opened in Pomona.Here’s a better pic.
Went By Jake's place last week & had a nice visit .

Thanks Cyclone Kevin. Got the magazine out of my storage area, grabbing a coffee, and will read through for old times sake!
