I found this picture of Jim Boring's 1933 Chevy Roadster on pages 96-97 of Rodders Journal #13. The caption reads: "At Sanford, Maine in 1961 Jim Boring ran his freshly candy apple red-painted '33 Chevy roadster (below). A Chevy smallblock fitted with 4-71 blower and dual quads made for a fast and competitive street roadster. Other technological improvements aside, Boring was steadfast in his use of the squarest of rollbars." Does anyone have additional information on the details of this car? Do you have any pictures or magazine articles featuring this car? I'd love to see more on this car before I start building my '33 Chevy roadster. Thanks! Andy
Try giving Jack Brady(Church Key here on the HAMB)a PM.He is a wealth of knowledge on East Coast(specifically New England)racers.I don't remember that car but if I recall correctly Jim ran an early T-Bird with a 500 plus inch Lincoln motor in it.
Hi Andy, Another site you could check out is http://www.northeastdragracing.com. There's a forum on that site that might help. Tom
