I've just seen this car in Issue 55 of Customs Illustrated.

They mention that the roof was chopped. Question is was it an even chop front and rear? Can anyone tell me by how much?

I have an AMT '57 Ford reissue, a razor saw and some creative juices all waiting on the answer.

I noticed that too. I appears only the front windshield was chopped and the complete top tipped down to meet the windshield. Maybe someone who saw the car built can help us out here.

  4. I'll ask Jeff about it tomorrow. Seems to me the rear window was uncut and sunk into the package tray. I'll find out what he did and report back....

    Thank You.

  6. Okay, got the scoop. He did the top in one day, cut it down where he wanted it and then cut the rear roof and package tray area out together and rotated the front of the roof down. Pretty much eyeballed it. He thinks it worked out to between 4.5 and 4.75" at the winshield posts. Rear glass is stock.
