Rumor has it that Steve Serr of the Miller OHV conversion fame is working on an adapter to use the T-5 with the A torque tube. He's a bit slow but it is in process.

I'm pretty sure Steve's adapter is made by our own Crazydaddyo...and we're talking about the adapter in this thread. :D

Yes, I'm making the kit for Steve. The one I'm making for him is for the S-10 4x4 trans. I have finaly aproved the casting patern and the first small batch of castings whent to the heat treater on Thursday. The prototype I did for Steve will be at his booth next week end at the Turlock Swap meet. If you see him, tell him you saw it on the HAMB. This adapter will work with the V-8 torque tube also, but the mounting holes are a little different.

Kits should be availible by the end of next month.

Sanford's,

Is your application for Model A torque tube or V-8? I ask because 28 -29 A mounting and 30-13 are different. And V-8 is different form Model A. Model A has 6 bolts and V-8 has 4. I should start machining castings next week and kits will be ready by the end of Feb.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
Thanks for your patience!!!!!

If you have immediate needs for this, please P.M. me and I will start a list

-It's a V-8...out of a '40 coupe, I think.

"If you have immediate needs for this, please P.M. me and I will start a list."
-No immediate need for me...I've got plenty more to do.

11. Not sure how I missed this until now, but CDO should be awarded the tech week prize, excellent work! I hope you can make and sell many of these. For the buyers benfit using a better trans and your benfit as a payback for your design and machining efforts.

How do I get my name on your list for your adapter? I talked to you at L.B. swap meet. Also talked to Steve at Turlock. I also think you have a saleable item with your E- brake setup. What do you think? fulltimeforester

I think 4 cyl. and 6 cly. are the same. The only differance would be the input shaft spline. But I think all of the S-10 4x4 trans were 14 tooth spline. Jeep 4x4 t-5 was avalible with a 10 tooth and a 14 tooth input shaft.

I've got the first couple of castings now. I'm working on the machining program and hope to start cutting chips this week. Here are some pictures of the casting. Sorry it is taking so long.

Its that big yellow ratchet strap you can see in the picture.
I did make one but its on my scrap pile because like a total idiot I built it without any rubber mounting. I was not thinking that day! When I re-do it I will post a picture.

Crazydaddyo - when you get ready to do the Jeep ones, let me know - I have an input for you if it can be incorporated into your design that would probably appeal to many people...
