I have some small window crank knobs that have the interior hole patched with JB Weld. It won't be visible once the knobs are attached to the cranks. Will the chrome process eat the JB Weld or will it survive?
If it is a knob like I'm thinking, the only way for the plater to suspend the knob is by inserting a screw in the hole. If it is all JB weld in the hole it will not make good electrical contact. Drill out the JB and redo after chroming.
^^^ This.... The plating process will likely damage the epoxy, and the plater may not want it contaminating his tanks.
