Anyone else miss talking to Jimsky?
I hope someone posts photos of all the Model A's at the GNRS this weekend.
He had a wealth of experiences and interesting stories greatly missed missing seeing where his projects were going
Looking for some info on getting tune-up kit for a model B Dizzy. Seems I have hit a dead end no info is around
Was told good luck by a couple of venders. Any and all help wanted.
I was just reading an article from last January in Autoweek that mentioned him. Made me nostalgic.
Crazydaddyo, how could we not miss him.
X2, had great discussions on the phone
great friend & greatly missed
Renners corner. Has website or call. He has everything you need for b distributor
Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I sure do!
Keep ‘em kruzin!
I just told a Bluto story last week.
Tune up kit means different things to different folks. Try looking for Ford B12199 contacts (Standard FD51); Ford B12300 condenser (Standard FD55). These pop up from time to time. Auto advance bits not so easy, but a good distributor man should be able to make it work correctly. Pretty much the rest of the distributor is same as A model.
Posted this up in the december meet, finally fired it up last weekend..jetting wrong, accelerator pumps lag..back to the stromberg for now, ain't done yet however..going to fab up a log manifold instead of the single runners..not as sexy, but it will probably work.
yes I would make a balance tube
Getting closer to dropping this back in and fire up.Itchin to see if it will even run.
what type of coupe ? love the dog
Hi Banger Fans -
My first post here. Been enjoying following along the banger meets off and on for a while as I start my banger education. So my first question - I picked up these two B heads this past weekend. I hadn't seen a head with the stamping on the front like the head on the left in the pic. Can someone tell me what the stamping indicates?
This is the Banger that powered Vermont's (if not the Nation's) 1st Rope Ski Tow, rusting in peace near Woodstock.

maybe a "B" head (3 bolt w/p)
Definitely a B head the raised 'C' and v8 water pump.most likely a service casting..whats interesting is the date code..the A service head I have has L286,which translates to L= December, the 28 is the day and the 6 means 1936.,yours appears to be I68,which would be september 6th 1938.Later heads made for service tend to be better heads than production heads, the 'A' I have is clearly a better one than production, its beefier..B head 4.6 to 1,meh for performance
Thanks very helpful..
Interesting piece., I've not seen one before.
Is that a crack running up from the top right corner of the rectangle?
Brian Is building a Ford in a Dodge Bros.
The dog "Chip" only thinks about duck hunting.
28 mopar three window
im gona need your help pretty soon
Thanks for the info, very interesting.
I don't believe it is a crack. Looks like a casting "seam" or line.
rode this to 150 bucks at auction last night and backed off...I was conflicted on whether I wanted it or not, magnafluxing only leads to heartbreak
