  2. Time to bring this back to the top. Anyone else committed to attending?

  3. Yeah Phil, I'll be attending for sure. I may not drive a Hot Rod this year. The distance is not the problem. The only factors for me are the weather and, traffic. I've driven the Hot Rods, to Virginia beach. Same roads as this years event. The last time that I did, The traffic around D.C. 495 { beltway}, and then over the {rt. 50 bay bridge} was a white knuckle experience. We did enjoy our last Jalopyrama. We took old {rt. 340} through Harper's Ferry. It was a fun and, scenic drive. Plus we stopped by and visted our daughter at point of Rocks Md. Here's a few photos from our last Jalopyrama . :) Ron... 20171013_123613.jpg 20171013_133854.jpg 20171224_090902.jpg 20171014_103159.jpg 20171014_122829.jpg 20171013_142626.jpg 20171014_112611.jpg 20171014_104234.jpg

  5. Is there any indication whether there is a cruise planned for Friday before the Saturday event?

    Phil

  6. For first time attendees, like me, I received this info today.

Friday morning we will have our usual morning cruise which will start approximately 9 a.m.

The cruise travels for about 1-1 1/2 hours around the area.

It returns no later than noontime because that's when we start putting cars inside the facility.

At this time all inside activity is only allowing inside cars to enter. Not open to the public.

The show opens Saturday morning at 8 a.m. and there is usually a long entry line at that time already.

There is two outside parking areas; one for spectators & one for 1963 & earlier cars. Entry fee is collected at the gate upon entry, $10 per person.

  7. Hoping to make it as a newbie. For cars out side do you just show up at 8:00?

  8. ....................or earlier.:D

My Doc grounded me for part of last season. Missed some good events. Planning to make up for it this summer.

  17. ....I agree. There should be some latitude for Anglias, Prefects, Topolinos, etc., especially if they are "competition" oriented.

Sorry to not be able to make it back home for this one! Y'all have fun on your cruise and at the show! There's a lot of road on either side of the highways down there I may or may not have had a lot of fun on as a teenager.

  21. Just curious, Scott, and maybe you guys (the Rusty Nuts) haven't discussed it, but will there be any allowance for curb parking or any grass parking if that show car parking area fills up quickly and folks are still rolling in? I know that fire lanes are a no-no, but being unfamiliar with the facility, is there any room for spill over parking if that lot gets packed ?......Thanks, Don.

  23. I believe that is unknown at this point. We have a meeting on April 7. Hopefully I’ll have an answer for you then. Thanks!
