I'm not sure I understand all of this or how acurate it really is, but I thought it was interesting. Looks like we have more than our share of old weathy white guys here. :)

It's not even close to accurate actually... Uniques is way off and I would be surprised if those demographics were true.

How accurate could something be when I was never asked any questions?

I'm just happy to see the related links are some porn sites or something! Come over here to get your car fix and then back to the 'barely legal' or 'goat roping' sites! (Note: That's a JOKE. I raise goats!)

No offense to Megan, Denise, or the five or ten other women I see post here, but are there really that many female users on board as well?

They should also say how many are here when they should be working!!

Alexa is good for comparing sites relatively... but, they are still inaccurate for stats. Example:

Alexa says that we averaged 5.3 pageviews per user last week. In reality (google analytics), we were around 13.5.

Well, I have to fess up to the older, white male part, but sadly not the wealthy. :(

    Hell, it's the internet...

I'm an old white male. And extremely wealthy.

    And I'm also Chuck Norris.

    And Batman.

All I know is when I clean my home computer of adware and malware, the name Alexa comes up frequently. So, naturally, I'm a little suspicious.

I use this website to track my stats on my site:
    http://extremetracking.com/?home

Not only does the tracker tell you what countries are looking and when but also puts them on a handy little world map. When you roll your cursor over a little 'person' it tells you how they got to your site and best of all who their network/provider is. Right now I have users from the 'State of Delaware', the 'Milwaukee County Govt', and 'Utah Educational Network'. So I guess in a way Danimal that tells me how many people are checking out my site when they should be working.:D

There are three kinds of lies: lies, damn lies, and statistics.

Depends on what they say a page view is for an average as opposed to you, On some sites, they wont count a page view again if the person is looking on the same page again. Some do.

My wife Dana actually works with a lot of this stuff (she does SEO and enewsletters so she is well versed in it) and menitoned this while she is lurking over my shoulder here ...LOL

You also says Alexa is inacurate- maybe GOOGLE is? Just thought Id throw the bone out.Not sure if any site can give you accuracy unless its on your own site. That might be a cool idea to have an area where we can see stats on who come along here .

In any event- looks like us white middle class dudes are the guys who post.
Dana doesnt post much any more- no time- she 'll lurk though...
