Winkler, must have been the barnyard cover shoot. I was looking for a picture of the cover to copy and came across these. Since most of the old pics are gone.....

    I always thought that car was goofy with the magazines all over it. as soon as my cousin, the Nigerian Prince sends me my check I'm going to buy it and fix it all up with chrome and shiny paint.

    I first saw pictures of Jakes tub when I was 9 or 10 years old in a hot rod book from the library (I think it was called hot rod milestones?) I thought it was the coolest thing ever and it totally corrupted my youth. To this day it's still one of my all time favorite hot rods!

    The article on the cover of the R&C magazine in post #36 "Low Tech vs Hi Tech - Is Beater Neater?" would be an interesting read. I always liked the term "beater". I identify with that. My friends, not so much.
