Quick question for those more in the know on swapping the Jag front suspension into a 49-52 Chevy.

What years and/or models of Jags are suitable donors? I have a guy that may want to trade a '78 Jag for an OT project car that I've been trying to get rid of.

I'm not in a big hurry to swap out front suspensions in my car, but I have no interest in this trade if the front end isn't the one easily adaptable to my '51.

xj series 1, 2 and 3 are the ones that will fit but the series 2 and 3 have a better brakes. I have a series 3 going into my 53.

Lowdown, when I posted the thread, I was betting that the answer would come from an Australian rodder. Thank you very much.

And for the record, I DID do a search, but did not find the answer on what years were the ones to look for. Perhaps I missed it, but I DID look.
