Hey Chris, have any before shots? I "heard" it was a tough lil body, but it looks perfect now. I saw it for the first time at the Fathers Day show in 06. Walked around it for like 15 minutes and wondered "why havn't I seen this car before??"
I just happened to come across these two photos from my collection. Great car! I shot it at Mooneyes Christmas Show at Irwindale Speedway a couple years ago, can't remember exactly.
Awesome coupe! Though the color wouldn't be my first choice, it certainly works now that I've seen it....
One of my favorite cars right now, he did some great work on the body. It's such a good car now! Reminiscent of the Yakel coupe, which I've always wanted to semi-clone.
That car is just plain cool! The punch line of this joke says it all. What did the fish say whan he hit the concrete wall? Daaaaaam! HaHa
You guys can take this any way you want but I could care less for a '32 for numerous reasons. That said, this car stopped me in my tracks! It is absolutely flawless. It does not look like every other '32 out there. It has it's own identity and that's why it is so awesome. Chris, way cool shots. Like JJ said you are one cool motherfucker! I hope to shoot the shit again sometime. Great car. Period. BloodyKnuckles
Outstanding car. With that flathead, trans and rearend it has to be the altimate deuce. It's so refreshing to see someone build something with a flathead. Hopefully people will realize by looking at this vehicle that the flathead is the only hot rod engine!!! Old hemi's, nailheads, Y-blocks and SBC's are OK but they still don't have the draw of a neat old flathead.
Simply awesome. Such nice chrome. I love the brown and white. great chop n channel too. Looks like a survivor. Great job.
Jacks Coupe is just ART ON WHEELS!!! And as far as Chris Casney goes...I consider him one of my favorie Hotrod buddies! He has such a great eye for pic's and really nailed it on his Coupe! Also,i'm GLAD he's so humble about his talents. A guy who feels he needs to improve, always does! He has that" MIDAS" touch...like an old craftsman!
That car started out as a '29 highboy that Verne Hammond was building. Aussie Steve had the chassis all set up for 103" wheelbase and everything was only tacked. The body was pretty whipped, think it was in a fire. Jack brought it to me for welding and flooring etc. but decided it should have a 106' stock '32 wheelbase. I got the chassis squared away for him. Not much longer after that he bought the 5 window body (pretty rough) and ended up repairing the body himself. Nick Garfias bought the roadster body and it ended up the beautiful gold highboy he has today.
Next time they do a roll call of top 32's this car should feature pretty high up there I reckon. Everything is right on this car. Even the colour.
Keith (weez) ... I always wondered if your "Dream Deuce" painting: ... was influenced by the Lynn Yakel 5wd?
Always loved this car - love the stance and the colour combo, DEAD ON. Also reminds me of Weez's paintings. Anyone have pics of it inside? Rat
When I saw the pictures of this car I had a flashback about the "little" car magazines I took to school. Fantastic!
