Outstanding … now, look for the information on the factory retrofit blockoff plates Olds sold for the granny lady 98s that had the secondaries opened for the first time and stuck wide full open !

My older brother and I were able to talk the old man into ordering his new '58 Super 88 4 door sedan with the optional J2 (we convinced him it would get better gas mileage the the standard 4 BBL). After about 6 months, he took it back to the dealer and came home with some linkage that he hung on a nail in a prominent place in his workshop where we could both see it. They didn't install block-off plates, but it didn't work without that piece of linkage. I did have a lot of fun with that car for the first 6 months, though. (Trust me, the secondaries on that car were not stuck.) Maybe things would have been different if we had that manual.
Had a friend with a 57 98 with j2 mill........yup, it was fast.....love to have it today & the manual. Very nice!
