Actually a few months more than 4 years. Some will like it. Some won't. I'm finally going to cut the grille in my 37 Ford and paste a single fog lamp right in the center. My friend Val donated a fog lamp that was left over after he crashed his Model A.
Had bright idea to just buy a reproduction grille and hack it up, but UPS hacked it up for me. In all fairness to UPS, the moron who packaged the grille, used a thin cardboard box with only 2 pieces of wrapping paper stuffed in the box for "protection".
Gave up on that idea. Decided to just remove my grill and go for it.
I made a template with a piece of scrap sheetmetal. A couple of tries in the brake and I had it fitting the shape of the grille.

No I haven't. My drawing skills are less than stellar, and I know nothing about photoshop. If I don't like what I've done, I can always undo it.

Could the pictures not be showing because you're using cell phone app?

I don't think it's a good idea, but what the hell, I've done lots of things I've regretted. Nobody wants to be on their death bed wishing they'd had that last slice of pizza.

That's a 1947 A6GCS Maserati, it can get away with the cyclops eye. I'm almost 70, never drove a car with fog lights, never felt the need. They just look so butt ugly screwed to bumpers. Your car, your lost grille. Bob

Well , I suspect a lot of Iconic custom car builders friends told them “they are crazy “ , “it won’t look good “ or “WTH” and then ta da . But you don’t have to be iconic :)

If You don't mind cutting up the grille, the Go For It! I might "practice" on the New grille first.

  20. To be honest,,,,,I would try on the grill that was damaged,,,,,,if not any good,,,,,your not out much .
That looks like a beautiful original grill you’re gonna hack up,,,,and then you will be sick after the results .
    It’s your car,,,,go for it.
I would go with photoshop first,,,like the man suggested .

At least you won’t have the doctor bill to pay,,,,what doctor bill ?
The bill from the orthopedic DR . to fix your legs from kicking yourself.

That looks like a beautiful car,,,,,take care of it .

For those that believe I should practice on the damaged grille..........that photo with the crushed box behind it, was taken next to the UPS truck. It went right back into the truck. No point in accepting a complete POS from the seller, and then posting a rant on how much trouble it was to return and make a damage claim. In all fairness, Speedway, while falling short in the packaging, refunded my $$ that day.

If I thought I needed to practice installing the lamp, I would just bolt it on the bumper and move on.
