Steve back in the 70s I saw just that a Toyota land cruiser that came out of California where they had to back fit PCV systems they kept the road draft to. It pulled air in the road draft tube and filled the engine with dirt.

Oh yeah, you would have to plug the road draft off if you installed the PCV system on the top side. I think the later Y-blocks ,that had PVC systems, had the road draft boss, but were not drilled. I have a industrial Y-Block that has that undrilled road draft boss.

Kool, me being an old Ford guy , the Y-blocks , especially the 312 T-bird Special, were my first love! Then I discovered The 430 MEL....I put one in a 55 Ford. Then here comes the FE, oh boy! But I can’t forget my little 289/271, I guess my all time favorite! ....Oh did I mention my 428 CJ and 428 Super Marauder?? I may have a problem!

Edit: I still have all of them, except the 55 Ford with the MEL

Hey, Mike, I also back to the FEs, also. I gathering parts to build my 428 Super Marauder into about 462 cubic inches. I’ve got the iron long tube headers for the ‘ 65 model and most of a three duces set up. Saving for the stroker kit. Then a C-6 and 2800 stall, and I’ll be in business. I Have the 3:50 tract loc 31 spline third member also..... so I’m getting there......slowly.
