Top collection.Any chance of more pics of your 55? Any magazines I had with it in are long gone. Used to think the graphics on the boot were neat.

Quit yer bitchin and get a bigger shop, Sullivan.

Guy I know in Columbus leases a good-sized place down the road from Summit Racing. There's several empty buildings in the same complex, I can PM you his contact info if you want.

Dude, Some of the most impressive work and art comes from the most humble environments. I wouldn't call this a mistake by no means. This is what makes you unique and gives you your style. I wouldn't mess with that formula. I know this is digging up an old thread here, but I just HAD to convey my toughts here for my first post on this forum. And I also want to say thank you for inspiring me when I was a 15 yr old kid back in 88 with that orange 55 chevy you built. It was and is still is one of the greatest builds of that model year chevy in my opinion. Glad to see you still have it.

Get it right, cars do not have bloody "boots".

  19. Still love the "WARNING, low ground clearance" painted on the crossmember of the 55.

Correct answer for what the "decapitation height" was wins a prize. Well...actually there's no prize.

Remember, an old thread to us new guys is a new thread. One of my life's mistakes is making fun of everything when everyone else is serious. But I face it everyday.
This car adiction is incurable and ain't supposed to make sense or everyone would wanna do it. ;)

I remember seeing a shot of the '55 with Cheezwiz tipped over and spilt on the paint.

Awesome - explains your HAMB name.

Having been exposed to short track auto racing since I was about 2 years old (in 1958), my greatest mistake was not learning the art of auto mechanics in high school. I felt the subject matter was dry and boring in the text books and I didn't care much for teacher. Looking back, I WAS SOOO WRONG!!. I should have forced myself to learn it. I actually had dreams of being a racer. But, you can't be a racer if you don't want to fix things. Let this be a lesson to all the 16 year olds who want to be the next auto racing superstar.

  28. I think this is proof that every $25.00 bucks does add up!

Wow, this Noob really reached back for this one!!!

Modifying the statement a bit, "I spent most of my money on women, booze & cars. The rest I just wasted".
