Finally getting around to posting some pics and stuff.
Bought this one from COOP666 on here just before Speedweek this year.
I'm really excited about it. For awhile I'd been eyeing '39-'40 sedans but most of that stuff was to rough or expensive, then one day wandering through the classifieds on here I stumbled upon this beaut.

After some serious decision making I finally pulled the trigger and flew down to Burbank with a backpack full of tools. The plan was to meet up with Coop at Lucky's shop and pick it up. Then to drive her on back home, and if that went well we'd (Anna and myself) would drive it to B'ville instead of the T this year.

Made to Lucky's early so I was able to snap off a couple pics. Was bummed to hear about Weesner's roadster getting creamed (the last pic). Looked like it was in good hands though.

After a beer, and a couple handshakes it was off to Oregon :)
The was to make on to San Jose to stay with a friend and do some tinkering that an old car would surely need.

Gary the Tudor is awesome. I seen it on the parking lot last week in Grants Pass.
I was with Mitch but had my boys and didn't want to interupt.
Unbelievable how straight the trim and molding is on that car.

Made the first leg without a hitch. My plan was beers to celebrate and do a little fixin' in the morning.
All she ended up needing was to tighten up the steering box a bit, slow down some oil leaks and the gas gauge was reading full all the time. Was able to take care of the box and slow down the oil leak, The gas gauge had to wait.

Back on the road it went. Next stop was to get to the Redwoods or the coast.

My route shot me right through San Francisco towards the Golden Gate bridge. Between the traffic, and hills in SF and looking at the GG bridge in the near future in a new/old car was a little unnerving. Not a place to have a mechanical.
Made up and over. Easy does it.

Here's some pics of the more Northern part of the trip. I love the twisty turney shit. That I-5 stuff was killing me. Plus it was nice and cool on the coast.

Heck yeah, It was a really fun trip.
I found out that the back seat is not that comfortable to sleep on though. While sleeping in it in Gerberville I kept getting woken by folks outside saying "check out that car", etc....

Once back in Oregon I stopped in Grants Pass to show a buddy the "new whip". He trumped mine with his Cragar overhead Model B in his coupe which is his first car that he got when he was 16. Mr. Hot Shit. :D

Ha Ha! That thing has been around the block! Everyone seems to enjoy it though! I remember when Weesner drove it to the pileup- said it ran great! (Probably because it was owned by Titus at the time!)

The next ride was time to get home, had to make a couple more stops though. First was Ross Johnston's Tire Sales. Ross' father started the business a long time ago. Really neat building and a great guy.

Then on to Jerry Fleck's shop, Fleck's Auto. Another killer shop and rad dude.

  27. I have a 350 in the garage waiting for the flattie to give up. If I'm lucky, I'll never get to use it.
I'm getting ready to take my dash out for electric wipers and new harness.
Coop's photos are going to come in handy!
How is the rattle-can paint on the dash and window garnishes holding up? I was thinking about powder coating those parts, but rattle-can is so much easier.

Funny Mike, I'm getting the parts together to put my 276 flatty in this one. I need to pull the motor and tranny to deal with a few small things, leaks, worn syncros, etc...that are adding up.

We've put almost 3000 miles on it since August !!!!

I hate to mess with the car but I think it'd be pretty cool with the flathead in it.

The dash is holding up pretty well. Not concourse material, but good driver stuff.

Swap you radiators? mine set up for the sbc already.
