There's one advantage to living in NZ or OZ, and that's the way we get the new day ( and the new year) before you northerners.

So its a happy new year to all you banger guys.

I will have my banger chassis home soon, then the fun will begin :D

This '28 RPU was brought out of the darkness the day after Christmas. I changed fluids and did a tune-up that was long overdue. More pics to follow on the little warmed over B that's in it. I only have one more hour left of my birthday to celebrate! I bought the RPU as an early birthday present to myself!!! What do you guys think? "HAPPY BANGER NEW YEAR"

Thanks Stovebolt. New year with a new banger in the stable. Everytime I look at the RPU I just grin like a kid at Christmas.

Bugger another big earthquake last nite going to have too dig the cars out again and spend the day cleaning up thats put the project back further. No one killed again but a lot of minor damage windows broken minor land slips and power outages hope we dont get a big one off shore and a tidle wave that would finish us off.was hopeing to work on my front brake activators today so I could keep my rod brakes with the dropped axle.

  13. Been making the new hood top for my T tourer, but before I make the hood sides, has anyone any experience with solid hood sides and a tuned banger?

  14. Don't know which is the "official" thread, so I'll post this here as well-

Been having fun playing with the Mallory YA distibutor and have it ready for cleaning. The cap and condensor looked like they had been sandblasted... then I remembered that the unit came off an engine that ran a grain elevator :)

I looked for instructions on the Mallory site, but only found sheets that went back to the mid 50's (maybe I didn't look hard enough)- any idea where I might get a set of instructions?

Thanks and Happy New Year, Bill

  15. I cleaned one up and timed it to the first set of points that opened. Found some reference on a sheet that came with a Mallory "Best" coil.

As a suggestion it might be less confusing if the new threader put a note in the old one referencing the new name, P
